Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end strategic innovation and execution for priority commercial assets (strategic planning, scenario evaluation, operational acceleration, data-driven problem solving across drug development: product development & manufacturing, trial design, evidence package evaluation, clinical operations).
- Support mission-critical strategic initiatives to position AbbVie for future success.
- Lead modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives (problem-solving, research/analytics, and recommendations for management).
- Monitor and prioritize external trends relevant to the enterprise; recommend how AbbVie should prepare/respond.
- Communicate strategy across AbbVie.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent required; advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) highly preferred.
- Experience: 6+ years with Bachelor’s, 4+ with Master’s, 2+ with Doctorate.
- Professional consulting experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceuticals highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills (can lead meetings with mid/senior management).
- Experience managing large projects in a complex matrixed pharma organization (consultant or internal cross-functional lead).
- Ability to engage senior leadership and facilitate decision-making.
- Capability building/change management (empathy and coaching for buy-in).
- Highly collaborative; motivated to advance AbbVie’s mission.
