- North Chicago, IL or South San Francisco, CA offices with a minimum three (3) days onsite hybrid
- 25% travel required
Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end strategic innovation and execution for AbbVie’s highest priority commercial assets with program-leading Asset Strategy Team and deliverable teams (strategic planning, scenario evaluation, operational acceleration, data-driven problem solving across drug development).
- Support mission-critical strategic initiatives that position AbbVie for future success.
- Lead individual modules within complex cross-functional initiatives (problem-solving, research/analytics, and recommendations for management).
- Monitor, understand, and prioritize external trends relevant to the enterprise; determine how AbbVie should prepare/respond.
- Help communicate strategy across AbbVie.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) highly preferred.
- Experience: 6+ years (Bachelor’s), 4+ years (Master’s), 2+ years (Doctorate).
- Professional consulting experience in biotechnology/pharmaceuticals highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills (can lead mid/senior management meetings).
- Experience managing large projects in a complex matrixed pharmaceutical organization (consultant or internal lead).
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior leadership for alignment and decision-making.
- Change management/capability building skills.
- Highly collaborative; enjoy partnering with business teams; drive/energy to advance AbbVie’s mission.
