Location & Travel:
- North Chicago, IL or South San Francisco, CA offices with a minimum three (3) days onsite hybrid
- 25% travel required

Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end strategic innovation and execution for AbbVie’s highest priority commercial assets, partnering with the Asset Strategy Team and deliverable teams (strategic planning, scenario evaluation, operational acceleration, data-driven problem solving across drug development).
- Support strategic initiatives addressing mission-critical questions and positioning AbbVie for future success.
- Lead individual modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives (problem-solving, research/analytics support, pragmatic recommendations for management).
- Monitor, understand, and prioritize external trends relevant to the enterprise and help determine how AbbVie should prepare and/or respond.
- Help communicate strategy across AbbVie.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors or equivalent degree required; advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) highly preferred.
- Experience: 6+ years with Bachelors; 4+ with Masters; 2+ with Doctorate.
- Professional consulting experience within biotechnology and/or pharmaceuticals highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with mid/senior-level management.
- Experience managing large projects in a complex matrix pharmaceutical organization (external consultant or internal cross-functional lead).
- Ability to engage senior leadership to drive alignment and facilitate decisions.
- Capability building/change management skills (empathy and coaching to gain buy-in and drive lasting change).
- Highly collaborative; enjoys partnering with business teams.
