Associate Director - Information Systems

Role: Associate Director leading the Clinical Data Hub (CDH) product within Amgen's Digital, Technology & Innovation organization, focusing on developing a scalable clinical data platform to accelerate study onboarding, enhance data quality and availability, and support analytics and AI initiatives. Responsibilities include establishing strategic partnerships across clinical development functions, defining and executing the product vision and roadmap, championing data standards and governance, managing product portfolio and backlog, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance and operational excellence. The role involves collaboration with data, analytics, platform, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end value and align with enterprise data strategy. Qualifications: Doctorate (4+ years), Master’s (8+ years), Bachelor’s (10+ years), or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Biology; minimum of 4 years of managerial or leadership experience. Preferred skills include knowledge of clinical development data, product management of enterprise data platforms, experience with cloud architectures (AWS, Databricks), data engineering, and Agile methodologies. High-value specifics: focus on clinical data systems supporting oncology, inflammation, and rare disease areas, with emphasis on data standards, regulatory compliance, and analytics readiness.
