Associate Director, Global Insights, General Medicine
Flexible commuter role to Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL (on-site 2–3 days/week).
What You Will Do
- Facilitate decision enablement across the Commercial organization by leading insight generation via primary market research, strategic secondary analytics, and synthesis of internal knowledge.
- Integrate multiple sources to provide strategic partnership supporting therapeutic area/disease strategy, product strategy, brand building, and internal governance milestones across a range of products and global markets.
Job Responsibilities
- Translate unstructured business requests into action plans and projects with high-quality deliverables.
- Integrate insights from market research, competitive intelligence, and secondary data to influence critical go/no-go decisions.
- Lead design and facilitation of internal workshops to align on hypotheses, gaps, and action plans.
- Partner with Therapeutic Area leadership to inform and influence therapeutic area strategy.
- Plan, design, and conduct primary market research for multiple assets across lifecycle stages.
- Conduct ad hoc strategic secondary analytics.
- Present insights (written/verbal) and influence leadership to incorporate findings.
- Lead cross-region/cross-portfolio initiatives with global, regional, and local commercial stakeholders.
- Set priorities and manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Basic: Doctorate + 2 years; or Master’s + 4 years; or Bachelor’s + 6 years; or Associate’s + 10 years; or HS/GED + 12 years (commercial insights or consulting).
- Preferred: data extraction/analysis/consolidation accuracy; drug development/pharma knowledge; primary research leadership; strategic thinking; cross-functional collaboration; excellent presentation to senior management; prioritization; experience with biopharma datasets/databases; stakeholder management; lead-role strategy/management consulting experience.
