Operations
Objectives/Purpose
- Provide global leadership and direction to plan and execute GCSC activities.
- Manage Clinical Supply project delivery for Global R&D Clinical Trials.
- Coordinate, procure, and manage clinical trial material supply, packaging/labeling, distribution, returns, reconciliation, and destruction.
- Develop/communicate budgets and plans with internal/external stakeholders; ensure timely, compliant delivery.
- Lead Global Clinical Supply Chain initiatives; participate in study oversight.

Accountabilities
- Interpret clinical trial requests/protocols to define supply packaging strategies, timelines, and budgets.
- Use Smart Supplies Database (PMD) for labeling approval; manage inventory, shipments, and returns.
- Contribute to Interactive Response Technology (IRT) design (randomization, depot/site supply, return functionality) and troubleshoot issues.
- Interface with QA/QP and Pharmaceutical Sciences for expeditious release and stability/expiry support.
- Plan and document global cross-border supply strategies, including controlled substances and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee packaging/labeling/testing/distribution/return activities with service providers; ensure compliance to SOW/job orders and quality/service agreements.
- Manage vendors/consultants; ensure milestones; negotiate and communicate supply timelines.
- Manage budgets/finance activities (POs, invoice approval, forecasting/variances), coach/mentor staff, drive process/system improvements.

Qualifications/Skills
- Degree in Pharmacy or other scientific/technical field, or significant related experience.
- Preferred: 8+ years relevant pharma industry and/or contract/service provider experience.
- Plus: Medical device experience.
- Strong cGMP knowledge.
- Proficient with IRT, Excel, MS Project (or equivalent).
