Role Summary
Associate Director, Global Analytics & Insights - Oncology. Leads generation of insight and analytics within the breast cancer portfolio to improve quality of decisions on oncology assets through market, customer, and competitor analytics.
Responsibilities
- Frame key business questions with ambiguity and define best analytical approach; provide strategy-shaping market and customer analysis from a wide range of sources and lead the integration of insights to advise material business decisions.
- Identify and plan market research to solve business problems for the brand and generate tumor-level knowledge above brand; interpret primary market research with strong business acumen to produce evidence-based insights.
- Forecast revenues using diverse techniques to support investment decisions and resource planning; develop, deliver, and align the product/brand forecast and related assumptions.
- Present analysis and synthesis to brand leaders in a succinct, persuasive, and decision-oriented manner to drive team alignment.
- Collaborate with AZ colleagues and Agency analysts to generate competitive analysis for a brand; ensure implications are reflected in forecasts and embedded in brand thinking.
- Lead and negotiate with local markets to validate assumptions and market understanding; share knowledge and build relationships with market insights leads.
- Develop deep therapy area knowledge bridging from clinical development to commercialization.
- Lead KPI development and reporting, analyze in-market performance to identify growth opportunities for in-line products and inform market-shaping strategies for pipeline products at tumor level.
Qualifications
- Essential:
- Bachelor's degree (ideally in a science or math-based field).
- 6 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in-house or with a management consulting firm.
- Qualitative and quantitative market research experience.
- Commercial brand strategy understanding.
- Oncology experience with direct experience in Prostate, Ovarian, and Endometrial tumor areas.
Desirable
- Background in pharmaceutical investment banking analysis.
