Role Summary

Associate Director, FP&A. Responsible for supporting corporate, functional, and program-level budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and forecasting. Ensures accuracy of financial statements and timely integration of sales forecasts, pricing, and investment resourcing, while aligning with senior management input to meet corporate deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting, Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting - develop and manage financial planning, modeling, and internal financial reporting; collaborate with functional leaders to develop annual budgets, set baseline expectations, perform quarterly forecasts, conduct variance analyses, and produce monthly internal financial reporting and dashboards.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reporting
  • Financial forecasting at all levels
  • Project analytics
  • Financial advisor for functional leads
  • Liaison between external financial reporting, functional leads, and internal reporting
  • Presentations of financial results to the executive team
  • Business Case Analysis and Decision Support - act as a financial business partner and develop financial models to aid executives in informed decisions
  • Metrics Reporting - analyze and report on key performance measurements
  • Strategic Planning - support development and implementation of corporate strategy
  • Additional Responsibilities - support data and business intelligence needs; provide necessary reporting to support business processes and drive organizational change

Qualifications

  • Required: Approachable financial business partner with strong collaboration across functions
  • Required: Proven ability to work with stakeholders and build productive relationships
  • Required: Experience building usable, easy-to-understand financial models in drug development companies
  • Required: Ability to connect financials, data, and business drivers to derive insights
  • Required: Advanced proficiency with financial tools
  • Required: Strong oral and written presentation skills for executive audiences
  • Preferred: ERP financial reporting customization experience; NetSuite a plus
  • Required: Exceptional attention to detail
  • Required: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Required: Excellent time management and accountability

Education

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's degree or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience; preferred experience in a public biopharma company
