Role Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Associate Director, FP&A, is responsible for supporting corporate, functional, and program-level budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and forecasting for the company. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements and the timely integration of sales forecasts, pricing, and investment resourcing, while ensuring senior management input to meet overall corporate calendar deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting, Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting - develop and manage financial planning, modeling, and internal financial reporting, and work with functional leaders to develop an annual budget, set up baseline expectations, perform quarterly forecasts, variance analysis presentations and reviews, and monthly internal financial reporting and dashboard.
  • Key Responsibilities include:
    • Monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial reporting
    • Financial forecasting at all levels
    • Project analytics
    • Financial advisor for functional leads
    • Liaison between external financial reporting, functional leads, and internal reporting
    • Presentations of financial results to the executive team
  • Business Case Analysis and Decision Support - act as a financial business partner to the functional leaders and develop financial models to assist these executives in making informed business decisions.
  • Metrics Reporting - develop and provide an analysis of key performance measurements, ensuring relevant metrics are measured and analyzed.
  • Strategic Planning - support the Vice President, Finance, to develop and implement the corporate strategy for the Company.
  • Additional Responsibilities - support the data and business intelligence needs of the Company, ensuring functional leaders have the necessary information and reporting to support their business processes and drive change within the organization as required.

Qualifications

  • Approachable financial business partner with exceptional collaborative communication skills across and between functions
  • Track record of being a positive energy, excellent team player with the ability to work collaboratively and develop productive relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and externally
  • Experience building usable, easy-to-understand financial models in drug development companies
  • Ability to see connections between financials, data, and business drivers, and draw strategic and operational insights from performance
  • Advanced financial tools proficiency
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills - ability to present to executive audiences
  • Experience customizing financial reporting in an ERP system is preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding time management skills and accountability

Education

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting, Master's or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience, preferred experience in a public biopharma company FP&A
