Role Summary

Associate Director - Foundry Solution Architecture, Full Stack & AIP. Data42 is Novartisβ€šΓ„Γ΄s data and analytics platform, integrating multiple data modalities at scale to support data-driven decision making. The role requires deep expertise in Palantir Foundry AI Platform (AIP) and exceptional solution architecture, combining hands-on full-stack development with strategic architectural leadership to design enterprise-scale AI/ML-enabled solutions across the technology stack.

Responsibilities

  • Full Stack Development with AIP Integration: Build end-to-end applications within Palantir Foundry, leveraging TypeScript, React, Python, and the AIP ecosystem for AI-driven functionality; develop data pipelines using Pipeline Builder, Spark, and PySpark to process large datasets while integrating LLM capabilities through AIP Logic and AIP Assist; create interactive UIs using React, CSS Modules, GraphQL, and Blueprint.
  • Implement AI/ML workflows from conception to production, building custom applications that leverage LLMs, NLP, and automated decision-making capabilities.
  • Solution Architecture: Create blueprints encompassing software architecture, infrastructure design, integration patterns, and deployment strategies for complex enterprise environments; design system architectures spanning frontend, backend, data pipelines, and AI capabilities; define technology strategies aligning with business objectives.
  • AI Platform Leadership: Lead implementation of generative AI solutions using Palantir AIP, including prompt engineering, LLM workflow design, and autonomous decision-making systems; design AI-driven automation while maintaining data security and governance; build intelligent applications that can reason, learn, and adapt; implement AI governance frameworks with guardrails, monitoring, and compliance measures.
  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions; mentor teams on Foundry best practices, AIP capabilities, and architecture principles; drive technical decision-making for stack selection and architecture patterns; lead prototyping and PoC development to validate approaches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 10+ years in Solution Architecture / full-stack development with proficiency in TypeScript, React, Python, and modern web technologies
  • 3+ years hands-on with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Ontology management, Workshop apps, and AIP integration
  • Palantir certifications: Foundry Data Engineer, Foundry Solution Architect, or Foundry Application Developer
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies including LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases, and generative AI workflows
  • Expertise in AWS with interoperability between AWS and Foundry
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale systems integrating multiple technologies, platforms, and data sources
  • Excellent communication skills for executives, business users, and technical teams
  • Experience in agile environments with collaboration across distributed teams
