FRM Associate Director leads and develops a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers who educate healthcare providers on AbbVie’s Immunology Patient Support Programs, emphasizing patient access and reimbursement inquiries for AbbVie’s immunology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and support the FRM team to deliver compliant, effective access and reimbursement services.
- Conduct field ride-alongs to assess performance, ensure use of AbbVie-approved tools, and provide targeted coaching.
- Collaborate with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and the Access & Reimbursement Hub for consistent, compliant program execution.
- Integrate patient access programs into local/regional strategies; identify and address training opportunities.
- Monitor healthcare policy changes and communicate insights.
- Track call activity and operational capacity using analytics tools.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance.
- Drive professional development, career progression, and performance oversight for direct reports.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in coverage/coding/managed healthcare and/or market access for immunology products (including payer account management), with expertise in market access impact on patient access/reimbursement.
- 2+ years in a leadership role (3+ preferred) with proven team/talent development.
- Strong coaching and territory/strategic account management skills.
- Ability to coach/train and communicate complex reimbursement policies.
- Deep understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D; specialty drug acquisition and distribution.
- Ability to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Travel up to 75%.
