Role Summary
The Associate Director, Field Marketing is a field-based, customer-facing (non-sales) role and a key member of the Dermatology marketing team, supporting Georgia and neighboring states. The role focuses on cultivating and sustaining long-term relationships with current and emerging key opinion leaders (KOLs) in psoriasis across the U.S., shaping and executing brand strategy through strategic partnerships and informed dialogue on the evolving treatment landscape.
Responsibilities
- KOL Engagement: Identify, cultivate, and maintain long-term relationships with national and regional KOLs and APPs in dermatology; develop strategic engagement plans; ensure compliant, accurate, and balanced scientific communication; gather and analyze competitive intelligence; act as a liaison between KOLs and Takeda leadership.
- Insight Generation: Capture and analyze customer and market insights to identify regional and national trends; share insights with cross-functional teams to inform strategy and tactics; stay current on activities and share insights in a structured format.
- Advisory Boards: Plan and execute advisory board meetings with KOLs; identify and recruit advisors; conduct advisory boards and consultant meetings to gather actionable insights; facilitate post-meeting debriefs and synthesize insights into recommendations.
- Congress and Conferences: Support strategy, planning, and execution of national/regional congresses; attend events, synthesize insights, and organize engagement opportunities; conduct post-congress debriefs.
- P2P Engagements: Lead partnerships with field leadership to optimize marketing strategies; identify educational needs and opportunities; develop speaker bureau communications and alignment on disease education.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Serve as a strategic bridge between internal teams and external thought leaders; ensure activities are compliant, well-organized, and strategically aligned; thrive in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree (Biology, Marketing, Strategy, or Business Administration preferred).
- Required: 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing or sales within the biopharmaceutical industry, including at least 3 years in KOL management; proven experience developing engagement plans for thought leader/KOL management; experience in Speaker Bureau strategy (training, content development, national programs).
- Required: Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills; highly organized with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities; excellent oral and written communication; ability to manage multiple projects; familiarity with AI tools to drive efficiency.
- Preferred: Experience in Psoriasis therapeutic market; new product launch experience; knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement models and payer dynamics; expertise with complex biologics.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including conferences on weekends, overnight programs, and key internal meetings. Residence within the territory boundaries is expected due to extensive travel.
