Associate Director of Regional Marketing (VYKAT XR)
Responsibilities
- Support identification, profiling, and development of emerging and established KOLs.
- Coordinate ongoing KOL engagement plans with the Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Sales, Medical, and agency partners.
- Track and support KOL progression from awareness → belief → advocate → champion.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Sales, Patient and Community Educators (PACE), Medical, Advocacy, and Residential Program Directors.
- Convert insights into actionable tools and tactics for the field.
- Support planning and execution of national and regional advisory boards (HCP, caregiver, residential providers).
- Capture insights and partner with Marketing to develop multichannel assets (e.g., leave-behinds, speaker materials, educational decks, digital content, FAQs).
- Keep stakeholders informed of the impact of their feedback.
- Support planning, content development, logistics, and follow-through for the HCP steering committee.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies, optimized tools, educational priorities, and high-impact tactical initiatives.
- Develop and maintain an insight repository and insight-to-action tracker to ensure recommendations are operationalized.
- Oversee speaker nomination process with Marketing, Sales, and Medical.
- Coordinate onboarding, training content, and speaker excellence initiatives (e.g., feedback sessions, 1:1 speaker trainings).
- Track speaker performance and identify development opportunities; support creation of speaker training materials and best practices.
- Partner with the Director of Commercial & Stakeholder Engagement, HCP Marketing, and Regulatory/Compliance to develop HCP experience testimony (video, print, digital/social) featuring thought leaders and clinical best practices.
- Support identification of faculty and alignment to core message architecture.
- Create a repeatable framework so KOL interactions generate reusable content across channels and audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, communications, or business (advanced degree preferred) with at least 7 years of experience in clinical, marketing, field marketing, or thought leader liaison work in pharma/biotech—ideally rare disease.
- Strong scientific literacy; ability to understand and articulate VYKAT XR prescribing information for confident HCP discussions.
- Excellent analytical, relationship development, and diplomacy skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills; ability to distill complex scientific information into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinker and proactive self-starter; comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- High integrity, ethical judgment, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Experience with KOLs, speaker bureaus, and advisory boards.
- Strong ability to translate insights into actionable field tools.
- Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives.
- Exceptional organization, follow-through, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable in both strategic and tactical environments.
- Endocrinology experience preferred.
- Strong sense of focused urgency and “making good things happen” through data, perseverance, and creativity.
- Travel: 50–60%.
