Associate Director of Field Deployment and Incentives
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end incentive compensation (IC) design (plans, contests, awards) aligned to brand and corporate objectives; ensure solutions are motivational, equitable, compliant, and fiscally responsible.
- Optimize field force structure and territory alignments by leading expansions, restructures, and quarterly alignment changes to improve deployment and minimize disruption.
- Develop and execute models and simulations to evaluate incentives, contests, awards, and field structure design options and trade-offs; communicate implications and recommendations for data-driven decisions.
- Partner with Insights/Marketing/Advanced Analytics to inform IC and award strategy, contest design/objectives, and territory coverage/workload.
- Develop communication and training materials so the field understands IC plans, contests, awards, and territory/geography design.
- Liaise with external vendors and internal partners to deliver high-quality, actionable tools and reports.
- Establish and maintain IC governance (policies, business rules, SOPs); partner across Legal/Compliance/Finance/HR/Marketing/Data-Management and drive quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Ensure a unified metric framework and consistent definitions across IC, contests, and performance reporting.
- Address data discrepancies and collaborate with Commercial Data Management to uphold data integrity; triage and resolve issues.
- Own operations calendar and cross-functional operating rhythm, including territory design, performance tracking, and payouts.
Qualifications (must have):
- Minimum BA/BS with 10+ years (or MBA/MS with 7+ years) progressive pharmaceutical industry experience focused on IC, field force size/structure/alignments, field analytics, targeting, or call planning; 6+ years directly related to IC and field force structure/alignments.
- Bachelorβs degree in a quantitative field, business, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Subject-matter expertise in pharmaceutical incentive compensation and field deployment best practices.
- Hands-on analytics and modeling experience using large, complex datasets.
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong QC/validation rigor.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence without authority and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Excellent project management and prioritization.
- Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Solid understanding of open/closed pharma distribution models.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Expertise with key pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., Xponent, DDD, 867, specialty pharmacy, patient-level, Hub).
- Knowledge of SQL, R, and Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sub-national performance analytics experience (territory/region KPIs, execution diagnostics, pull-through measurement).
- Familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake; Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience applying AI/ML to field deployment tools and design.
- Knowledge of CRM systems such as Veeva and Salesforce.

Salary Range (annually):
- $157,200.00 - $256,600.00
