External Manufacturing Operations Associate Director (Ops AD)

Primary Responsibilities
- Dispute resolution with appropriate escalation.
- Balance company delivery requirements with contract manufacturer production plans; manage Materials Management (ERP transactions, logistics).
- Oversee shop floor production and determine when an ExM functional representative should be deployed to contract manufacturer facilities.
- Drive continuous improvement activities.
- Partner with Procurement to identify/select new contract manufacturers and negotiate/terminate supply agreements.
- Collect and present contract manufacturer capacity information and drive recommendations for capacity expansion.
- Ensure alignment of supply and quality agreements.
- Execute ERP transactions for receipt/movement of company-owned inventory; perform book-to-physical reconciliation; document/witness destruction.
- Ensure purchase orders, forecasts, deliveries, and invoice payments are executed in compliance with the Supply Agreement.
- Partner with ExM Company Production System experts/functional teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide project management support to the DP NA regional team and coordinate regional projects.
- Travel up to 50%.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree minimum in Engineering, Medical, Science, Business, or related field.

Required Experience/Skills
- 8+ years in commercial/business and manufacturing (operations, project management, or quality/technology/supply chain) in pharmaceutical/chemical (or equivalent).
- Drug Substance manufacturing knowledge (unit operations, shop floor).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, collaboration, negotiation, analytical, influencing skills.
- Leadership, teamwork coordination, cultural awareness, English fluency (verbal/written).

Preferred
- Recent ExM operations/site operations; knowledge of domestic/foreign regulations; Lean implementation.

Compensation/Benefits
- Salary range: $129,000.00–$203,100.00; eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable); comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, retirement (401(k)), paid time off, compassionate and sick days.
