External Manufacturing Operations Associate Director (Ops AD)

Primary Responsibilities:
- Dispute resolution with appropriate escalation.
- Balance delivery requirements with contract manufacturer production plans; manage Materials Management (ERP transactions, logistics).
- Oversee shop floor production, including deployment of an ExM functional representative to contract manufacturer facilities.
- Drive Continuous Improvement.
- Partner with Procurement to identify/select new contract manufacturers and negotiate/terminate supply agreements.
- Collect and present contract manufacturer capacity information; drive recommendations for capacity expansion.
- Ensure alignment of Supply and Quality agreements.
- Execute ERP transactions for receipt and movement of company-owned inventory; perform book-to-physical reconciliation at contract manufacturers; document and witness destruction.
- Ensure purchase orders, forecasts, deliveries, and invoice payments are executed in compliance with the Supply Agreement.
- Partner with ExM Company Production System experts/functionalities to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide project management support to the DP NA regional team to coordinate ongoing projects.
- Travel up to 50%.

Education Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Medical, Science, Business, or related).

Required Experience and Skills:
- 8+ years combined experience across commercial/business and manufacturing (pharma/chemical or related).
- Knowledge of Drug Substance manufacturing (unit operations and shop floor).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, project management, collaboration, negotiation, analytical, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork coordination.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivities.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Recent ExM operations or site operations.
- Knowledge of domestic/foreign regulations and compendia.
- Lean project implementation.
- Strong influencing skills.
