The Position:
- Strategic partner to the Group Vice President to develop and implement initiatives advancing the US Drug Product Manufacturing strategy.
Essential Functions:
- Own US Drug Product Manufacturing strategy end to end (strategy repository, governance cadence, alignment of ambition/priorities/enablers).
- Own key GVP-level strategic processes (e.g., BRM, risk, business continuity) and facilitate stakeholder decision-making and input.
- Activate strategy and deliver initiatives/operating plans with owners, timelines, success metrics, and governance; lead/sponsor cross-functional workstreams.
- Represent the GVP in organization-wide dialogues; create tailored reports, presentations, and documentation for diverse stakeholders.
- Manage multiple high-priority assignments via prioritization and time management.
- Design and embed change management approaches (communications, training, stakeholder engagement) to drive adoption.
- Partner with finance to align strategy with financial milestones.
- Develop/evolve a 3–5 year strategic roadmap and align it with business review meeting processes.
- Define KPIs and dashboards, monitor performance, recommend course corrections, and drive continuous improvement.
- Organize/lead leadership meetings and offsites, including follow-up actions.
- Provide advice/training on relevant company policies as needed.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements.
- Other accountabilities as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an open office environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Development of People:
- Supervisory role: ensure direct reports have IDPs with annual goals/measurements and interim reviews; manage policy/procedure/“Novo Nordisk Way” application and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Certification in change management or project management (preferred).
- 10+ years’ experience leading strategy, operations, business planning, and cross-functional initiatives in complex environments (required).
- 10+ years’ experience establishing governance and improving organizational effectiveness (preferred).
- Experience in global, cross-functional, matrixed environments (required).
- Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry experience (preferred).
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Pharmaceutical Quality topics (preferred).
- Experience building/managing operating cadence, KPIs, and governance frameworks (required).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence at all levels (required).
