Position Summary:
Associate Director, technology leader in an AI-first, agile product team supporting Global Development Operations (GDO), Patient & Site Engagement Product Line. Accountable for designing, building, and operating AI-native products where LLMs, agentic workflows, and data intelligence are the default approach.

Responsibilities:
- Develop/maintain AI-first technology strategy (build-vs-buy, model selection, capabilities aligned to vision/outcomes).
- Build reusable, scalable platforms and intelligent agents with security/compliance.
- Establish AI guardrails/best practices for production-grade apps in regulated environments.
- Forecast budget and steward finances for the product line (identify cost efficiencies).
- Establish/enforce standardized CI/CD across products.
- Partner with PMs/GDO stakeholders to apply AI to decision-making, automation, and workflow improvements.
- Design/develop/maintain secure, scalable apps using Python/Java/Node.js and React.
- Design LLM-native/agentic long-lived systems with human-in-the-loop, monitoring, governance; frameworks include OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain.
- Incorporate microservices, APIs, MCPs, event-driven processes.
- Troubleshoot systems/data; drive short-term remediation and long-term strategy.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security.

Requirements/Skills:
- 15+ years software engineering (Pharma/Life Sciences a plus); BS in CS/Software Eng (or related).
- Regulated, agile SDLC delivery; plan/manage/deliver/support from concept to steady state.
- Experience with Generative & Agentic AI (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AWS Bedrock, etc.).
- Python + React; Java or TypeScript familiarity.
- REST APIs, MCPs, FastAPI, workflow automation.
- AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Bedrock, SageMaker); SQL/NoSQL analytics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration; build consensus.
