Associate Director, Engineering

Role: Associate Director, Engineering in Biologics External Manufacturing Technology, leading technical transfers, supply, and process improvements for biologics products across external partners. Responsibilities: serve as the primary technical contact for external partners, oversee tech transfer delivery, assess process viability, ensure compliance and quality standards, develop validation strategies, support process troubleshooting, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives; collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Operations. Requirements: Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, 8+ years in biologics manufacturing, process sciences, or technical support, with proven experience in technical transfers and biologics process operations. Preferred skills include leadership in cross-functional teams, Lean Manufacturing expertise, advanced problem-solving, and experience with large molecule operations. High-Value: biologics modalities, vaccines, drug substance/ drug product, late-stage development or commercial manufacturing, process validation, and external partner management. Work setup: remote flexibility with >30% travel primarily within the US and EU region; reports to the Director, Biologics External Manufacturing Technology.
