Role Summary
Associate Director of EEDI Learning will design and implement leadership development programming. This role is responsible for researching best practices, designing best in class programming, and ensuring a proactive approach to participant engagement. This role will facilitate sessions for a wide range of employees, from VP to individual contributors.
Responsibilities
- Partners with multiple internal and external partners across the enterprise to ensure programming is aligned and supports organizational goals and strategic priorities
- Builds trust and rapport with partners to maximize outcomes from cross functional work
- Advises people leaders, HR, councils, ERGs, and other partners on best practices to ensure fair and equitable employee experiences
- Partners with learning and development leaders from across the globe to align and support enterprise initiatives
- Manage project plans, budgets, timelines and communication plans for programs and initiatives
- Identify and evaluate external training resources and vendors
- Track key program metrics, monitor learner engagement, and implement interventions as needed
- Analyze data and feedback to inform program development
- Provide coaching to leaders on individual development plans
- Maintain an understanding of leadership development trends and best practices and continuously evaluate and improve leadership development programs
- Advocate for EEDI within the organization; champions the value of living into AbbVie’s principle of Embracing Diversity and Inclusion
- Consistently exercise discretion and good judgment, including sensitivity to confidential information, and cultural sensitivity and awareness related to individuals from wide-ranging backgrounds
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience; with demonstrated Superior knowledge of the diversity agenda and best practices. Experience in Diversity & Inclusion, Culture or Human Resources preferred.
- Solid understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace, including employee resource groups, unconscious bias, and supplier diversity. Commitment to building a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Proven track record of leading and implementing larger-scale global programs and projects. Demonstrates high organization and detail orientation with the ability to multi-task and handle heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills plus interpersonal and presentation skills to drive results
- Ability to analyze and see patterns in data and information in order to create proactive solutions. Ability to process and summarize large amounts of data into concise and meaningful reports. Possess highly developed analytical skills to understand complex data and to provide insights.
- Demonstrated success in influencing skills with high credibility in senior management.
- Deals effectively with difficult situations, negotiates persuasively, has a clear opinion and conveys ideas to the point.
- Ability to work in and thrive in a changing business environment. Demonstrated experience operating within a large, complex, matrixed organization is preferred.
