Associate Director, DTE Business Engagement Lead for Real Estate, Facilities and Operations Systems (Boston, MA)
General Summary
- Drive digital transformation of Real Estate, Facilities, and Operations systems.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define and execute a roadmap for AI-enabled solutions, smart building technologies, workplace systems, and data-driven operational improvements.
- Own design, development, support, maintenance, and future technical roadmap for scoped systems.
- Support the Real Estate/Facilities portfolio (application lifecycle, office expansions/openings, and M&A integration) with project delivery, plans, and budget management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize enterprise application portfolio and evolve future roadmap.
- Present strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
- Lead and develop a team of two project managers and a federated managed services team.
- Oversee projects/programs/releases/enhancements, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery within budget.
- Identify and recommend innovative technologies and process improvements.
- Enhance demand/resource management and operational support processes.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships; oversee day-to-day support/maintenance (e.g., Genetec, Envoy Visitor Management).
- Lead development and AI-powered enhancements to improve workflows, decision-making, and user experience.
- Champion generative AI, NLP, and machine learning.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy, security, and legal requirements.
- Lead change management and serve as a strategic advisor on emerging technologies.
Systems in scope include (not limited to): BMS/BAS, IWMS, space/occupancy tools, energy/sustainability platforms, Genetec, HiveWatch, Vital, Konvekta, Envoy, and Commend Intercom.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
- Experience with AI/automation/advanced analytics/digital innovation in an operational environment.
- Deep expertise in Facilities/Operations technologies, buildouts, and M&A integration.
- Strong AI, regulatory/risk, and data governance knowledge.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication translating technical concepts to business value.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Genetec, Envoy Visitor Management, Commend Intercom, and Vital.
- Bachelorβs degree (Engineering/Facilities Management/CS/IS/Business or related).
- 8+ years relevant experience; 5+ years people/program leadership.
- JD/MBA/advanced degree preferred.
