General Summary
Associate Director, DTE Business Engagement Lead for Real Estate, Facilities and Operations Systems. Drive the digital transformation of Real Estate, Facilities, and Operations systems by partnering with stakeholders to define and execute an AI-enabled roadmap (smart building/workplace systems and data-driven operational improvements). Own system design, development, support, maintenance, and technical roadmap for the portfolio, including application lifecycle, office expansions/openings, and M&A integration. Lead evaluation, implementation, integration, and governance of technologies for facilities operations, space/occupancy management, maintenance, energy optimization, and workplace experience.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve the enterprise applications technology portfolio; continuously develop the roadmap.
- Build stakeholder relationships; provide strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
- Lead and develop a team (two project managers) and a federated external managed services team.
- Oversee projects/programs/releases/enhancements within approved budgets; ensure quality/timely delivery.
- Identify innovative technologies and business process improvements; enhance demand/resource/project delivery and platform release processes.
- Manage vendor relationships; oversee day-to-day support/maintenance for Genetec, Envoy Visitor Management, and other apps.
- Lead development/implementation/enhancement of systems (including AI-powered solutions); champion generative AI/NLP/ML.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy, security, and legal requirements.
- Lead change management and serve as a strategic advisor on emerging trends; foster continuous improvement.
Knowledge And Skills
- Experience with AI, automation, advanced analytics, or digital innovation in operational environments.
- Deep expertise in facilities/operations technologies, real estate buildouts, and M&A integration.
- Advanced understanding of AI applications; strong regulatory/risk/data governance knowledge.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders; strong communication.
- Experience with enterprise platforms: Genetec, Envoy Visitor Management, Commend Intercom, Vital.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years in real estate/facilities/operations systems, digital transformation, or smart building tech.
- 5+ years people/program or significant cross-functional leadership.
- JD/MBA/advanced degree preferred.
