Position Summary
Associate Director, Drug Development Excellence supports Drug Development strategy and enables consistent, high-quality execution across high-priority cross-functional initiatives. Partners with leaders and subject matter experts to translate strategy into operating models, process improvements, and ways of working, driving measurable outcomes across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep, data-driven analysis of end-to-end Drug Development processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, capability gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations linked to KPIs and strategic outcomes.
- Map/document process maps and standard operating frameworks; apply process re-engineering to improve quality, speed, capacity, and value.
- Establish/monitor/report KPIs and performance metrics; support performance management framework design/evolution.
- Use data/analytics and root cause analyses to surface trends, risks, and opportunities; project manage end-to-end execution.
- Identify and embed technologies/workflow automation and digital solutions to enable AI-ready operations.
- Collaborate across Drug Development functions to drive operational excellence and support change management and communities of practice.

Qualifications & Experience
- BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–7 years in operational excellence/process improvement/strategy roles in pharma; Drug Development experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with process analysis, process re-engineering (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma), project management/process modeling tools (e.g., ADONIS, OnePlan, MS Project).
- Experience with performance management, data analytics, root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of AI/emerging technologies; strong communication; leadership/facilitation; critical thinking; adaptability; service orientation.
