Associate Director - DocGen Lead Architect

Position Summary
As an Associate Director, lead the development, design, maintenance, and support of the DocGen platform (Python/React) operating across GCP and AWS. Drive rearchitecting initiatives to ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal user experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineering lifecycle for DocGen (design, development, deployment, maintenance, support)
- Oversee rearchitecting/modernization using best practices and emerging technologies
- Ensure security, performance, scalability, and compliance with BMS standards
- Partner with Product, Security, and Operations to define requirements, integrations, and priorities
- Implement CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring
- Maintain technical documentation and conduct code reviews
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and incident response
- Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders; improve document automation and UX
- Mentor engineers

Qualifications & Experience (Required/Preferred)
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related)
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Proven Python and React expertise
- GenAI application development with LLM integration
- Agentic AI workflows/applications
- Strong GCP and AWS (multi-cloud); platform architecture and cloud migration leadership
- Cloud security, scalability, compliance knowledge; CI/CD and Agile experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization
- Preferred: pharmaceutical/regulated industry; global engineering teams
- Desirable: document automation/workflow systems; microservices/serverless/containerized architectures; AWS/GCP certifications; stakeholder management/change leadership
