Position Responsibilities
- Lead highly complex, high-impact TPD and induced proximity drug discovery programs; set objectives, prioritize targets, and drive portfolio decisions.
- Direct cross-functional preclinical research teams focused on oncology/hematologic malignancies; develop target identification/validation and MoA characterization strategy.
- Drive go/no-go decisions and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Apply TPD modality expertise (molecular glues, bifunctional degraders, induced proximity) to generate target/therapeutic hypotheses.
- Oversee development/optimization of cell-based and molecular assays (protein degrader characterization, E3 ligase engagement, ternary complex biology, 3D/organoid models).
- Guide mechanistic studies and target validation using CRISPR/Cas9, inducible shRNA, lentiviral systems, proteomics, and functional/biochemical assays; ensure data integrity and high-quality reporting.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemistry, structural biology, bioinformatics, translational, and clinical teams; partner with external academia/biotech/CROs.
- Manage and mentor discovery biologists; prepare/review scientific reports and regulatory/publication/patent documents.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโs + 12+ years (academic/industry) OR Masterโs + 10+ years OR Ph.D./life sciences + 8+ years.
- 4+ years leadership experience (for Ph.D. track).
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. (biology-related) and 8+ years focused on TPD/induced proximity drug discovery; hands-on PROTACs/molecular glues/bifunctional degraders.
- Deep oncology/hematologic malignancy disease biology (AML/MDS/lymphoma/multiple myeloma desirable); E3 ligase/UPS/ternary complex understanding.
- Mammalian cell culture; CRISPR/shRNA/lentiviral; flow cytometry; patient-derived/3D/organoid models.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary, milestone-driven programs; strong data analysis and communication/publication/patent record.
