Associate Director/Director, Medical Operations (Lexington, MA; hybrid)

Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of operational processes enabling an effective, compliant Medical Affairs function.
- Design, implement, and optimize operational processes for activities including publications, medical communications, field medical operations, and medical information.
- Oversee and track key deliverables to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Establish and manage Medical Affairs KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
- Lead vendor selection, onboarding, oversight; manage budgets and forecasts.
- Serve as business owner for Medical Affairs systems and tools.
- Partner cross-functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Patient Advocacy, and IT.
- Ensure compliance with GxP and company SOPs; support audits and inspections.
- Support strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications (Experience/Education):
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field required; post-baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Associate Director: 8–10+ years in Medical Affairs/Operations; Director: 10–15+ years with leadership responsibility.
- Preferred: small-to mid-size biotech experience; global Medical Affairs exposure; scaling operations; launch experience/Medical Affairs build-out; vendor RFP and management experience.

Key Skills:
- Strong Medical Affairs knowledge and compliance requirements.
- Experience with systems such as Veeva CRM and Medical Information platforms.
- Project management/organizational skills; data-driven with reporting/analytics.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication; ability to operate strategically and execute tactically.

Pay/Benefits (as stated):
- Annual base salary range: $161,000–$275,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus and stock-based long-term incentives; comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, life, disability, generous PTO (incl. week-long Summer/Winter shutdown), 401(k) match, and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
