Role Summary

Associate Director/Director, Medical Communications. The role focuses on Medical Information and Communications, Medical Review activities and Medical Operations, aligning and integrating process and technology efficiencies for Medical Affairs, Medical Information and Communications, and review activities, while championing modern medical affairs at Soleno.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of scientifically accurate and compliant medical information materials aligned with Soleno Therapeuticsβ€šΓ„Γ΄ area of focus.
  • Lead Medical Information activities, including strategic oversight of external contact center vendors to ensure high-quality, timely, and compliant responses to medical inquiries.
  • Provide input and lead Medical Affairs congress coordination at key US congresses, including medical booth presence, logistics coordination, material development, and staffing, in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Help drive the development, implementation, and execution of a publication plan.
  • Provide project and operations management support for the Medical Affairs team across a range of medical activities and deliverables.
  • Support global Medical Affairs programs and initiatives by participating in cross-functional team meetings and organizing working groups to drive project execution as needed.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting with prior Medical Communications and/or Scientific Communications experience.
  • Training during career demonstrating an interest in personal growth and an ability to learn across therapeutic areas.
  • Therapeutic Medical Affairs experience in rare diseases preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Affairs team member in the introduction of a novel new clinical product is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with medical messaging.
  • Ability to travel in order to attend key conferences including interactions with healthcare practitioners.
