Role Summary

Associate Director / Director, Medical Affairs – Migraine. Provides medical and scientific input into core strategic and operational medical affairs activities for the Migraine portfolio, including data generation, medical education, and stakeholder engagement. Preferably based in Florham Park, NJ or Mettawa, IL with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • With oversight, provides input into the development of the medical strategy for Migraine assets
  • Provides specialist medical insights, and with oversight, executes on data generation, communication, and expert engagement activities
  • Helps lead or contributes to: comprehensive gap assessment, advisory boards, EE engagement, and scientific and medical education programs
  • Contributes to design and execution of Phase IV trials including target population and endpoint selection
  • Leads medical monitoring activities for MA studies for Migraine Assets
  • Support medical affairs activities including dissemination of data supporting overall product scientific and business strategy
  • Helps provide scientific support for Migraine Assets; may deliver scientific presentations
  • Develops and maintains professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders; actively participates in medical affairs activities aligned with strategy
  • Keeps abreast of professional information through conferences and/or medical literature and acts as a Migraine subject matter expert

Qualifications

  • Position will be commensurate with experience:
    • Associate Scientific Director minimally requires a bachelor‚Äôs of science (or equivalent) and 3-5+ years of relevant clinical or medical affairs experience in an academic, hospital, or pharmaceutical industry environment
    • Scientific Director minimally requires a bachelor‚Äôs of science (or equivalent) and 5-7+ years of relevant clinical or medical affairs experience in an academic, hospital, or pharmaceutical industry environment
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DO) preferred
  • 2+ years experience in migraine preferred
  • Ability to work onsite (3 days/week) from Florham Park, NJ or Mettawa, IL strongly preferred
  • Ability to interact externally and internally to support global business strategy
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and experience in development of strategy and the design of protocols desired
  • Works with some supervision and guidance. Exercises judgement within well-defined practices and policies
