Role Summary

Associate Director / Director, Global Forecasting — New Jersey, US. Responsible for commercial forecasts for BioNTech’s key Oncology assets and for developing patient-based models to enable data-driven insights informing strategic decisions. Part of a high-performing team with visibility to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Build and “own” Global commercial forecasts for the company’s key pipeline and BD&L assets
  • Develop and maintain patient-based models, with analytic capability support for early assets and launch brands across multiple Oncology indications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global marketing, Global market access, US forecasting, Clinical Development and Supply chain
  • Serve as a center of excellence, providing expert epidemiological data and disease area consultation to cross-functional teams
  • Frame and translate complex patient flows into simplified model approaches
  • Perform secondary data analytics to create robust, aligned forecast assumptions
  • Recommend market research and secondary data analytics to inform key assumptions and scenario planning
  • Create and present business cases to leadership as needed
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in a quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred in business administration, statistics, or other relevant field
  • 8+ years of commercial forecasting, valuation and related experience
  • 5+ years of Global Oncology commercial forecasting experience preferred
  • Strong forecast modeling (Excel/Excel VBA, data analysis) and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience working with oncology across multiple tumor types
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable business insights
