Operations
Responsibilities:
- Lead operational on-site onboarding, training, and qualification of apheresis and treatment centers.
- Conduct operational readiness assessments (apheresis, cell therapy lab, pharmacy, infusion workflows).
- Support treatment center activation and certification; provide ongoing post-activation support and retraining.
- Coordinate patient scheduling across apheresis, manufacturing, and infusion; serve as field escalation point for scheduling challenges.
- Provide hands-on apheresis expertise; support cell collection optimization (yield, quality, procedural consistency) and troubleshoot issues in real time.
- Support drug product receipt, storage, thawing, and administration readiness; ensure handling protocol and quality adherence; guide infusion preparation and day-of-treatment activities.
- Ensure COI/COC adherence throughout the patient journey; reinforce compliance with FACT, AABB, and regulatory requirements; identify/document/support resolution of deviations and operational issues.
- Serve as primary operational point of contact for treatment center stakeholders; build trusted relationships and partner cross-functionally (KAMs, MSLs, Patient Operations, Quality, Technical Operations).
- Capture and communicate field insights/best practices; contribute to process optimization/standardization; support data collection/reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree (RN, BSN, MPH, MBA) preferred.
- 8+ years healthcare experience, including cell & gene therapy or apheresis operations; title commensurate with experience.
- Direct hands-on apheresis experience required.
- Experience supporting treatment center onboarding and/or commercial CGT operations strongly preferred.
Technical/Functional Expertise (preferred/required):
- Strong understanding of apheresis/cell collection, COI/COC and infusion workflows, and regulatory standards (FACT, AABB, GxP).
- Experience with autologous CGT products and SCD preferred.
Skills/Capabilities:
- Independent field execution in a highly matrixed environment; strong problem-solving/escalation.
- Excellent training/teaching and clinical communication.
- High attention to detail; quality/compliance focus; patient-centric mindset.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel >60%.
