Associate Director, Data Science

Role: Associate Director, Advanced Process Analytics & Data Strategy within the biologics manufacturing analytics team, focusing on applying data science, process modeling, and data architecture to optimize biologics production. Responsibilities include defining analytics roadmaps connecting process parameters and quality attributes, leading cross-functional data initiatives, building and maintaining manufacturing data architecture, and developing process monitoring tools supporting PPM and CPV. The role emphasizes translating bioprocessing science into scalable data solutions, establishing data standards, and fostering stakeholder engagement. Qualifications: B.S. in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related field with 8+ years (M.S. with 6+ years, Ph.D. with 4+ years) of bioprocess experience; expertise in biologics manufacturing (upstream/downstream), GMP compliance, and process characterization; hands-on skills in Python, R, SQL, and data architecture concepts; proven strategic and influencing abilities. Preferred: experience with bioprocess data systems (PI, MES, LIMS), digital platforms (OSIsoft PI, Seeq, Power BI), and GMP analytics (PPM, CPV). High-value specifics include biologics (antibody-based), process data management, digital analytics, and GMP-regulated environments. The role involves collaboration with manufacturing, IT, and quality teams, reporting to senior management, with hybrid work and up to 15% travel.
