About The Role
The Associate Director, Data Management, MDM leads the strategy, governance, and operations of Neurocrine’s Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities to ensure trusted, high-quality master data across the commercial organization. This role defines and executes the enterprise MDM roadmap, establishes governance frameworks, and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a “single source of truth” for critical commercial data domains.
Your Contributions
- Lead data management activities for commercial MDM initiatives
- Define, own, and execute the commercial MDM strategy and multi-year roadmap
- Establish and govern MDM frameworks (data governance models, stewardship, operating procedures, standards)
- Oversee integration and mastering of commercial data domains (HCP, HCO, affiliation, payer, product, patient)
- Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance
- Build, lead, and oversee data stewardship team (full-time and outsourced/vendor resources); no direct reports upon hiring
- Partner with Field Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and IT to meet evolving business needs
- Oversee MDM technology platform (e.g., Reltio, Informatica, Veeva Network) and operations (pipelines, integrations, mastering workflows)
- Partner with IT to implement/optimize MDM technologies aligned to enterprise architecture
- Drive continuous improvement in data collection, management, and consumption
- Lead initiatives to identify, resolve, and prevent data discrepancies; improve monitoring and remediation
- Manage complex cross-functional projects related to MDM strategy and enhancements
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field + 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech Commercial Operations, Commercial Data Management, or related OR MS + 8+ years
- Expert knowledge of master data management (5+ years)
- Hands-on MDM technology experience (Reltio, Informatica, and/or Veeva Network)
- Experience leading mastering processes for HCP, HCO, affiliations, payer, product, and patient data
- (Highly desirable) Experience supporting MDM for long-term care (LTC)
- Strong understanding of commercial biopharma data ecosystem (data flows, governance, operational processes)
- Comfort with tools/languages: Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, SQL, Python
- Familiarity with IQVIA, Symphony, Definitive Healthcare, specialty pharmacy/distributor data (e.g., 852/867); digital marketing sources desirable
- Ability to independently lead projects in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
- Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts to business audiences
- Patient-level data handling experience; familiarity with HIPAA and related regulatory requirements
- Track record managing large cross-functional technology/data initiatives; strong project management
- Advanced PowerPoint/Excel/Word; SAS or similar statistical tools preferred
- Exceptional analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Benefits
- Annual base salary: $173,900.00–$238,000.00
- Annual bonus target: 30% of earned base salary; eligibility for equity-based long-term incentive program
