Role Summary

The Associate Director, Corporate Counsel, Commercialization and Market Access provides legal support for one or more brands and related business functions, advising on regulatory strategy, marketing, and commercialization in the pharmaceutical space.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for one or more brands and related functions, including serving as the primary legal representative on promotional materials review committees and advising on marketing, medical affairs, and labeling matters.
  • Support development of regulatory, commercialization, and business strategies for product candidates and marketed products.
  • Identify legal risks and communicate compliant, practical solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the CLO Organization and cross-functional teams.
  • Advise on contract matters, including review and negotiation of agreements and vendor relationships.
  • Deliver training and presentations on legal topics to business partners and team members.
  • Drive efficiency and coordination of legal advice and processes; work on cross-functional franchise teams; lead special projects.
  • Keep informed of new laws, regulations, and industry trends; anticipate potential impacts to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in-house and/or with a law firm; biopharma/pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG guidance, PhRMA Code, HIPAA, product liability, and related areas.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, strategic with excellent judgment; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders; strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to manage and deliver results; effective in conflict resolution and risk management.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree; licensed to practice law in the U.S.
