Position Summary
- As Associate Director, Congress Engagement (Congress Excellence Team), lead direction of company congress initiatives, overseeing cross-functional collaboration and budget management.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sponsorship planning and execution with external congress societies.
- Maintain accountability for BMS congress standards and ensure high-quality, efficient execution.
- Support content development of Functional Planning, Annual Congress Strategy Set-Up, and strategy objectives.
- Execute pre-planning operations roadmap; assist Congress Operations and Planning.
- Serve as Engagement/Tactical Lead and coordinate multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 congresses.
- Lead governance processes with the CE Director; ensure compliance with global/local regulations with Legal/Compliance.
- Lead congress communications and briefings.
- Drive continuous improvement via congress metrics and actionable insights.
- Design innovative approaches to enhance customer experience.
- Develop/execute Thought Leader Encounter strategies; plan, coordinate, and manage budget.
- Lead booth exhibition planning, materials, staffing, and budget.
- Model company values; travel as needed for execution.

Qualifications & Skills
- 7+ years congress management experience (or pharma marketing/medical affairs preferred); college degree required.
- Ability to lead without authority; strong collaboration and diplomatic approach.
- Strategic thinking, clear communication, negotiation with key stakeholders.
- Innovative mindset (simplify/improve cost, speed, and effectiveness).
- Proactive, self-directed, resourceful; strong time management and organizational skills.
- Agility to prioritize and make critical decisions; project planning/management with timeline adherence.
- Knowledge of global markets and stakeholders; strong communication across a global audience.
