Role Summary

The Global Compliance Audit Associate Director leads and manages global sales and marketing, corporate functions, and other healthcare compliance audits. The role supports annual risk assessments, builds relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to understand business risks, and oversees audit planning, scope, execution, and reporting of findings. It also involves coaching Senior Auditors and driving improvements in operating performance and internal controls across locations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, execute, and report compliance audits worldwide at operating locations.
  • Supervise compliance audit staff during the course of audits.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication when engaging with auditee management, cross-functional leadership, and audit team members.
  • Apply risk-based reasoning when evaluating audit findings.
  • Identify key risks and plan audits accordingly to address those risks.
  • Find opportunities for improvements in sales and marketing compliance practices against policies, procedures, standards, and laws.
  • Drive departmental innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging best practices and introducing efficiency gains.
  • Elevate matters to senior management when needed and exercise sound judgment.
  • Travel approximately 10-20% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required. A graduate degree is desirable. CFE, CPA, MBA, or JD is a plus.
  • 8+ years of related work experience with global experience in the life sciences industry and knowledge of compliance risks.
  • Experience with analytical tools and techniques to detect compliance risk.
  • Experience balancing audit responsibilities with commercial or compliance-oriented roles; knowledge of healthcare compliance, government reimbursement mechanisms, pharmaceutical sales and marketing, and anti-corruption laws is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate to drive compliant, value-added solutions.
  • Strong time management and project management skills and the ability to work with personnel at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, across all levels of the company.
  • Strong people development and coaching skills to build and retain a motivated team.

Education
