Role Summary

Global Compliance Audit Associate Director leads and manages global sales and marketing, corporate functions, and other healthcare compliance audits. Assists with annual risk assessments, builds relationships with stakeholders to understand business risks for US/International locations, and recommends audit approaches. Manages audit plan, scope, and execution, and formulates recommendations for improvements in operating performance and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, execute, and report compliance audits worldwide at operating locations.
  • Supervise compliance audit staff during the course of audits.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication when engaging with auditee management, cross-functional leadership, and audit team members.
  • Apply intelligent considerations and sound risk-based reasoning when evaluating audit findings.
  • Identify key risks and plan audits accordingly to address those risks.
  • Find opportunities for improvements in sales and marketing compliance practices when measured against corporate policies, local country policies and procedures, industry standards, and laws/regulations.
  • Drive departmental innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging best practices and introducing new ways of improving efficiency and agility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to discern matters that need to be elevated to senior management and exercise sound judgment.
  • Travel approximately 10-20%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree desirable. CFE, CPA, MBA, or JD is a plus.
  • 8+ years of related work experience with global life sciences exposure preferred.
  • Experience with analytical tools and techniques to detect compliance risk.
  • Balance of audit experience and experience in commercial and/or compliance-oriented roles preferred; knowledge of healthcare compliance, government reimbursement, pharmaceutical sales & marketing programs, and anti-corruption laws is preferred.
  • Proven collaboration to drive compliant, value-added solutions.
  • Strong time management and project management skills; ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong people development and coaching abilities to attract and retain a motivated team.
