Position Summary

The Associate Director of Commercial Supply Chain will manage the planning, optimization, expansion, and execution of commercial supply chain activities to ensure the efficient and effective production and delivery of our innovative biotechnology products. Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities

These may include but are not limited to:

  • Support the global integrated S&OP process to align Crinetics’ priorities and strategies with operational plans and achieve improved financial and patient impacts.
  • Focus on long and short-term strategic planning horizon.
  • Support team objectives, goal setting, prioritization, and adherence to plan and strategy.
  • Develop operating models through vendors and internal compliance team to ensure adherence to global trade compliance regulations.
  • Influence decisions in manufacturing operations for drug substance, drug product, supply chain, and distribution.
  • Lead supply chain planning, ensuring all elements of drug substance and drug product are appropriately allocated to ensure supply reliability including effective decision making.
  • Take ownership of commercial supply chain logistics including product movement and warehousing.
  • Manage commercial supply chain financial commitments, including reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Oversee compliance efforts for commercial manufacturing and distribution agreements.
  • Evolve the 3PL global footprint for worldwide distribution, driving economies of scale where applicable.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements that may impact our end-to-end planning and distribution of Crinetics’ products globally.
  • Participate in internal/external supply chain audits.
  • Partner with Clinical, Commercial, CMC, Quality, and Regulatory to ensure that operations are aligned with the company's overall strategy and meet operational requirements.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, supply chain, or another related technical field or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • 6+ years of progressive technical operations management experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management aspects, from product development to distribution.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing production planning.
  • Successful experience in working with Procurement, CMOs, and 3PLs.
  • Proven understanding of global pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding and track record of cGMP, GMP manufacturing, FDA guidelines, regulatory inspections, supply chain operations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional partnerships with all key internal stakeholders such as Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, IT, HR, Legal, Finance, and other departments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience transitioning supply chain activities from development to commercial desirable.
  • Experience in global trade compliance.
  • Experience with cold chain.

Physical Activities

On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. The Anticipated Base Salary Range

$140,000- $174,000.

In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
