How you will contribute:
- Lead a MedComm team creating, executing, and communicating congresses, conferences, advisory boards, and peer-to-peer (P2P) engagements for the dermatology brand.
- Support team development and foster a positive, cross-functional culture.
- Provide strong leadership and influence; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills (coachability, responsiveness, flexibility).
Congress Strategy & Execution:
- Own and execute congress activities (booth design; digital/print assets; presentations/content; engagements).
- Plan and execute key national congresses and regional conferences to advance Takedaβs presence, disease-state awareness, and brand.
- Foster relationships with medical association leadership.
- Lead cross-functional teams across in-person and virtual/hybrid events.
- Provide on-site event leadership and organize post-event readouts.
- Lead/oversee congress booth staff (scheduling, training, certification).
- Build regional conference asset strategy for field initiatives.
- Partner with agencies/contractors on creative briefs, sponsorship tactics, and logistics.
- Manage budget accountability for sponsorships and agency spend; run monthly accruals.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
P2P Engagements Strategy & Execution:
- Own development, planning, and execution of HCP peer-to-peer engagements.
- Build annual Brand plan for fee-for-service activities (P2P, innovative programs, advisory boards, consultant projects).
- Spearhead annual Speaker Bureau training and oversee compliance and execution.
- Coordinate approvals with cross-functional stakeholders (Marketing, PRT, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Ethics & Compliance).
- Collaborate with external agencies and MedComm to create medically accurate educational slide decks.
- Advocate for the speaker bureau; share feedback to improve processes.
- Manage spend vs. budget/forecast and reconcile monthly reporting.
Advisory Boards:
- Own development, planning, and execution of HCP Advisory Boards to inform brand strategy.
- Ensure advisory boards align with internal policies and external regulations.
- Oversee logistics and vendor coordination for in-person/virtual/hybrid meetings.
- Debrief post-meeting and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Dermatology experience; Psoriasis expertise strongly preferred.
- Bachelorβs degree (preferred: Biology, Marketing, Strategy, Business Administration).
- 10+ years commercial biopharmaceutical experience (speaker bureau management; congress marketing).
- 2+ years in leadership roles with increasing responsibility.
- Experience leading congress strategies/tactics and sponsorship opportunities.
- Experience leading Speaker Bureau strategy, training, content development, and national programs.
- Strong leadership; ability to set direction, resolve issues, and evaluate risk.
- Cross-functional collaboration; influence without authority.
- Organizational, analytical, problem-solving, strategic skills; manage multiple projects.
- Excellent oral/written communication, learning agility, financial management, budgeting.
- Willingness to travel 1+ to several nights; weekend travel may be required.
Preferred:
- New product launch experience.
- Knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement and payer dynamics.
- Experience with complex biologics.
