Operations
Responsibilities:
- Independently provide advanced project management support to multiple complex drug development projects, including creation/maintenance of CMC technical plans in Asset Management Platform (AMP), PPDST roster management, and timeline swim lanes for program reviews.
- Lead PPDST Team meetings (agenda, action items, discussions); drive accountability to meet deliverables; develop planning scenarios; identify/monitor/analyze business risks; perform root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure appropriate tools, reports, and AMP data for accurate resource estimates; support knowledge management (e.g., SharePoint/Team sites) for PPDST teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve departmental processes; manage cross-functional process improvement initiatives; convert goals to tasks; estimate/manage requirements.
- Lead process improvement teams; apply advanced PM principles; prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Support/advise peer Project Managers/PPDST Co-Chairs on monthly plan issues and timelines; provide data entry for change requests.
- Apply advanced PM tools for metrics collection and analysis; develop guidelines/checklists; implement novel approaches for metrics and process improvement.
- Serve as local expert for business procedures; recommend solutions; develop training/presentations; mentor junior staff.
- Build and maintain stakeholder networks; facilitate high-performing teams; may manage Sr. Specialists/Program Managers.
- Influence senior R&D leaders; define performance expectations and assess progress for effectiveness and process improvements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s in technical/scientific field + 10+ years pharma/biotech experience; or Masterโ€™s + 8+ years; or Doctorate + 4+ years.
- Project management or process improvement accreditation highly preferred (e.g., PMP, LEAN Six Sigma).
- 4+ years project management experience, including leadership of a cross-functional team; independent work and sound strategy representation required.
- Strong leadership/communication (written, interpersonal, cross-culture), presentation/influence, judgment, negotiation/conflict management, relationship building, teamwork, and training experience.
- Knowledge of the drug development process; cross-functional and global leadership experience.
- Expertise in PM/Business Excellence tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, QlikView, Spotfire).
- CMC experience required.
