Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Category management for acquisition of engineering & construction services, automation, and capital equipment.
- Review requirements; develop sourcing strategies; oversee supplier due diligence and RFP process; lead contract negotiation/award and contract management oversight.
- Negotiate agreements/contracts to minimize cost and risk while meeting project objectives.
- Partner with business clients to qualify suppliers; support supplier relationship management, spend analysis, market intelligence, and risk management.
- Source goods/services for major capital projects (> $5M) across global manufacturing sites ($100M–$300M annually).
- Lead procurement management for major/mega programs with higher risk/complexity.
- Build procurement strategy to ensure delivery of business objectives.
- Lead supplier management and facilitate internal customer–supplier relationships.
- Identify and implement cost/risk reduction and avoidance savings opportunities ($5M+ annually).
- Execute procurement activities per Global Procurement procedures with competitive bidding and technically/commercially competitive recommendations.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Business).
- 7+ years in capital construction procurement including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for engineering, construction, and capital equipment.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience sourcing engineering & construction services, capital equipment, and commissioning/qualification.
- Process/plant experience; support for $500M+ mega projects.
- Strong written/verbal communication; English proficiency.
- CIPS/IIPMM/ISM and/or relevant procurement experience.
- IT literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP/Ariba).
- Ability to influence and negotiate internally/externally; analytical/problem-solving.

Other:
- Travel 10%–25%.
- Location: Huntsville, AL or Richmond, VA.
