Role Summary
Associate Director Global MES โ PharmaSuite & PMX. Lead a global MES program within PharmaSuite and PMX, guiding a mix of direct and indirect resources through solution evaluation and design, project planning, and budget management. Provide technical leadership and administrative oversight for direct reports, including performance and talent management, HR planning, and coaching.
Responsibilities
- People: supervise MES system, platform, and data engineers, and the regional Service Delivery Lead; include performance and talent management, HR planning, and coaching.
- Collaborate with the PharmaSuite Program Leader to develop and execute regional project plans; establish deployment schedules with sites to anticipate future needs and align with strategic direction.
- Oversee regional MES support, ensuring effective SLAs, robust processes, and efficient management of PharmaSuite deployments.
- Lead regional budget planning, financial management, and strategic business planning to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local and global stakeholders, including Site Leadership and MQ/DC Tech@Lilly and other partnering organizations.
- Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers at the project level, ensuring alignment with goals and applying industry best practices for Pharma MES implementations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices to balance local site needs with scalable, global support.
Qualifications
- Required: Education: Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Required: Experience: Minimum 5 years managing MES deployment (PMX, PharmaSuite, Syncade)
- Required: Skills: Strong stakeholder management and communication; ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Required: Experience in Pharma and GMP Manufacturing
- Preferred: Experience managing programs/projects in the pharmaceutical business; experience managing software vendors and service providers
- Preferred: Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Active participation in industry forums and standards organizations

Additional Requirements
- Role is Monday through Friday and on-site; must be flexible to accommodate production schedules and shutdowns
- Occasional off-hours and weekend work may be required due to global operations
- Regional and international travel to meet with vendors, project resources, and manufacturing sites
