Associate Director, Business Intelligence

Role: Lead enterprise business intelligence at Revance, focusing on Power BI and next-generation self-service analytics. Objectives include building a platform enabling business users to query data via natural language with visual responses, establishing governance, and driving adoption of trusted, high-quality dashboards. Responsibilities encompass managing the Power BI platform, designing a semantic data layer with Data Engineering, defining reporting standards, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into decision-ready reports, leading a global BI team, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring data integrity and platform performance. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s in business, computer science, or related field; 7+ years in business intelligence with extensive Power BI expertise; 3+ years leading BI teams, including offshore resources; proficiency in Microsoft data stack (SQL Server, DAX, Power Query, M, XMLA); experience with modern data platforms (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks); strong stakeholder engagement skills; and a track record managing end-to-end BI projects. Preferred qualifications: Master’s in business intelligence, experience with AI-assisted analytics (Power BI Copilot, Snowflake Cortex), and familiarity with life sciences or healthcare industries. High-value biopharma specifics: enterprise-level analytics supporting commercial, finance, supply chain, and operations teams, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy, trustworthiness, and usability across a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
