Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across Commercialization, Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Operations, External Manufacturing, Business Affairs, Product Franchises, Procurement, Safety, Digital Manufacturing Division, and other internal groups.
- With clients, define business opportunities and needs; translate to requirements and boundary-condition options; evaluate risk/priorities/tradeoffs; propose justified, fit-for-purpose business options that maximize return on assets and total value.
- Work with the Technology Center Lead and Regional Delivery Leads to guide activities before business case review, exploring site selection, technical options, manufacturing process opportunities, and capital phasing.
- Be accountable through the business case review stage gate via the Capital Management Process; organize and lead cross-functional teams (internal/external) during FEL-0 and FEL-1; after stage gate, clearly establish/communicate project boundaries via kickoff.
- Build trusted relationships and help business areas develop business cases/projects to gain alignment and capital management approval.
Qualifications:
Required:
- BS in Engineering or Applicable Science (preferably chemical or Bioengineering) + 7 years; OR MS + 5 years; OR PhD + 2 years.
- Experience with capital projects: engineering design or capital project execution for manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated leadership of high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and analytical/problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of manufacturing network capability/capacity and pharmaceutical development/manufacturing/plant operations/maintenance.
- Collaboration experience with client organizations (e.g., Supply Chain, Program Management, Commercialization, Technology, Technical Operations, Quality, EHS, Digital Manufacturing).
- Project management excellence across multiple assignments.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Division strategy and trade-off analyses.
