Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end strategic innovation, communication, and execution on Allergan Aesthetics portfolio + assets with R&D and Commercial leadership; includes strategic planning, scenario evaluation, and data-driven problem solving across the drug development breadth.
- Support R&D strategy processes: Annual franchise strategy reviews and Strategy Long Range Plans, Therapeutic Area strategy and pipeline reviews, and Asset Strategy Team support; includes project management and generating/communicating strategic insights.
- Support strategic initiatives addressing mission-critical questions and positioning AbbVie for future success.
- Provide rapid-response support to R&D leadership on high-importance/visibility priorities.
- Lead modules within complex, cross-functional initiatives; drive problem-solving with research/analytics and distill pragmatic recommendations for management.
- Help communicate strategy at executive forums across AbbVie.
- Monitor, understand, and prioritize external enterprise-relevant trends and determine how AbbVie should prepare and/or respond.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or equivalent required; advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) highly preferred; 2+ years at a top-tier management consulting company highly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years with a Bachelor’s, 3+ with a Master’s, or 2+ with a PhD.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with senior-level management.
- Experience managing large projects in a complex matrixed pharmaceutical organization (consultant or internal cross-functional lead).
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior leadership to drive alignment on strategic vision and facilitate decision-making.
- Capability building/change management skills (empathy and coaching to achieve buy-in and lasting change).
- Highly collaborative; enjoys working with functions/businesses to develop solutions advancing AbbVie’s mission.
- Drive, energy, and passion to advance AbbVie’s mission.
