Role Summary
Associate Director, Brand Marketing responsible for leading patient marketing strategy and tactics for a launch in rare disease/pharmaceuticals, with a focus on pulmonary hypertension. Drive development and execution of multi-channel campaigns, patient message development, and ambassador programs to empower patients and caregivers. Requires a strategic, collaborative leader with extensive pharmaceutical marketing experience.
Responsibilities
- Understand trends and competitive positioning within the PH market
- Know the patient journey and use insights to develop initiatives that will resonate with patients/caregivers
- Develop and manage a multi-channel disease and branded tactical plan (digital, social media, print, etc.)
- Lead patient message development
- Develop patient branded/unbranded educational and promotional strategy/tactics (patient awareness, adherence and persistence)
- Conduct market research initiatives, as necessary, to inform and execute brand plan
- Build and implement a patient ambassador program that will help patients connect with each other to share their stories as well as other patient-centered events (ad boards, patients conferences)
- Understand payer reimbursement landscape and specialty pharmacy patient support programs
- Work closely with the Promotional Review Committee to ensure compliant review and approval of patient tactics
- Foster strong relationships with patient advocacy groups
- Operate to the highest of standards in alignment of Liquidiaβs code of ethics and compliance SOPs, ensuring all interactions with KOLs are consistent with commercial, regulatory, and legal guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent. Advanced business degree a plus.
- 5+ years of patient marketing experience within pharmaceutical category.
- Prior PH experience and existing KOL relationships.
- 10+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience with a heavy marketing focus.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding expectations in assigned responsibilities.
- Strategic mindset to support commercial marketing strategy, messaging, and resources.

- Excellent communication (verbal and writing) skills with an ability to present to large and small audiences.

- Strong understanding of the laws, regulations and rules governing the pharmaceutical industry, and history of ethical and compliant behavior.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to travel 20%-30%, primarily domestic.
