Associate Director, Bioinformatics

Role: Associate Director of Data Science supporting clinical, regulatory, and scientific objectives in rare neuroendocrine, obesity, and metabolic diseases. Primary focus on implementing advanced AI models, predictive tools, and integrative analyses using real-world datasets, EMR, and genomics for patient stratification and phenotype development. Responsibilities include designing AI-driven phenotyping pipelines, developing scalable cohort identification methods, managing rare variant curation, and leading multi-modal data integration. Requirements: Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Genetics, Data Science, or related field; 5+ years in biotech or healthcare analytics; expertise in machine learning, AI, EMR analysis, and bioinformatics; proficiency in SQL, Python, R; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP); and background in neuroendocrine or metabolic biology. Preferred: experience with variant interpretation, multi-omics, and scalable data infrastructure. High-value specifics involve working with real-world data, complex phenotyping, and genetic analyses in neuroendocrine and metabolic contexts. The role offers flexibility for remote or Boston-based hybrid work, with some travel expected.
