Role: Associate Director, Bioanalytical Sciences at Alector, providing scientific leadership and strategic oversight for bioanalytical activities across neurodegeneration programs. Responsibilities: develop and lead assay strategies for pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity, and biomarker assessments; independently design, optimize, troubleshoot, and validate ligand-binding assays (ELISA, MSD) for antibodies, ADA, and NAb; interpret complex bioanalytical data, author reports, and support program decisions; oversee CRO partnerships for assay validation and transfer; mentor scientists and drive technological innovations including automation and AI integration. Requirements: PhD in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related with 8β10 years biotech/pharma/CRO experience, including hands-on assay development and validation, especially for biologics and immunogenicity; extensive knowledge of FDA/EMA bioanalytical guidelines; proficiency with assay platforms (ELISA, MSD), electronic lab notebooks (Benchling), and bioanalytical LIMS; ability to lead cross-functional collaborations in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: experience with siRNA/oligonucleotide assays, biomarker development, automation platforms, and LIMS.
