Associate Director, AI Quality And Governance – R&D Data Science & Digital Health

Role: Associate Director of AI Quality and Governance in R&D Data Science & Digital Health, responsible for implementing enterprise-wide AI governance frameworks across Johnson & Johnson's innovative medicine division. Responsibilities: develop and maintain AI governance roadmaps aligned with R&D strategy, establish quality assurance processes for AI/ML and GenAI systems, promote responsible AI practices, create guidance tools, and track governance metrics. Collaborate closely with Data Science, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, and Technology teams to ensure compliance, safety, and consistency in AI development and deployment; represent the company in external AI governance forums. Requirements: PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; 6-8+ years in AI, data science, or analytics with experience leading governance initiatives in regulated environments such as pharma or healthcare. Preferred skills include expertise in AI/ML model lifecycle, regulatory frameworks (FDA, EMA, ISO), and cross-functional collaboration.
