Associate Director, AI Quality And Governance – R&D Data Science & Digital Health

Role: Associate Director of AI Quality and Governance within R&D Data Science & Digital Health at Johnson & Johnson, leading enterprise-wide AI governance efforts. Responsibilities: develop and implement AI/ML and GenAI governance frameworks, quality assurance processes, and risk management strategies; streamline workflows by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Quality, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and Technology; create playbooks and metrics for governance effectiveness; serve as a strategic advisor on responsible AI practices; represent Johnson & Johnson in external AI governance forums. Requirements: PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; 6-8+ years in AI, data science, or analytics, with experience in regulated environments such as pharma or healthcare; expertise in AI governance, model lifecycle, and monitoring; knowledge of global regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, ICH, EU AI Act); strong communication and strategic skills.
