Role Overview:
The AI & MLOps Lead for Kite IT Sales & Digital supports AI/ML transformation for Kite’s Commercial line of business by designing, developing, and deploying data science solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Model lifecycle management: Build pipelines from experimentation to production (packaging, CI/CD, automated testing, deployment) and support model serving for patient identification, alignment prediction, next-best-action, and competitive intelligence.
- Data pipeline development: Design batch/streaming workflows; integrate/manage feature sets, lineage, and reuse.
- Production operations & monitoring: Ensure reliability/scalability; implement logging/tracing/alerting and monitor model performance, drift, bias, and service health (including rare-disease data quality).
- Agentic AI & agent systems: Decompose workflows into agent-executable workstreams; define boundaries between agent execution and human judgment.
- Instruction & prompt engineering: Maintain prompt architectures, skills, memories, and context injection; author structured coding instructions with acceptance criteria.
- Build agentic systems that detect commercial anomalies (e.g., competitive switching, patient discontinuation, payer access changes) and generate hypotheses/recommended actions to stakeholders and CRM.
- Token economics & cost optimization: Optimize context/token usage and instruction patterns; monitor cost per workstream.
- Governance, security & compliance: Implement version control/approvals/audit trails; ensure explainability/auditability and compliance (HIPAA/PHI, GDPR, FDA promotional regulations, REMS); enforce secrets management, RBAC, network policies, and data protection.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 10 years OR Master’s + 8 years OR PhD + 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications (selected):
- 3–6+ years in MLOps/Data Engineering/ML platforms; 2+ years building complex analytics solutions.
- Python and SQL; TDD, CI/CD, code quality standards.
- CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions), Docker, cloud concepts.
- SageMaker/Databricks MLflow; experiment tracking and model registry.
- Databricks (Spark), Airflow, MLflow.
- AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code/GitHub Copilot/Cursor) and Cortex AI or LLM serving platforms; prompt engineering experience.
- Healthcare data privacy/security; secrets management and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Knowledge of CGT/specialty pharma commercial analytics; CGT data expertise (e.g., IQVIA, Veeva CRM, RWD).
- Experience with multi-agent orchestration, enterprise integrations (Veeva/Salesforce/M365/ServiceNow), scalability, and high-throughput inference.
